Functional medicine is all about finding root cause of illness and disease.  It looks at all systems in the body to see how they are working together.  If there is imbalance steps are taken to find out how to return to balance.  The body has the innate ability to heal on its own if balance can be achieved.  In functional medicine health is considered to be not the absence of disease but a state of EXTREME WELLNESS.
